Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join its Infrastructure & Platform team in Madrid. You will design, implement and operate highly available, scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS and in on-premise datacenters, and help drive the company's hybrid cloud strategy. Frequent travel to France is required to support collaboration with local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on AWS and on-premise, and lead hybrid cloud architecture.
• Manage AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
• Set up secure connectivity between cloud and datacenter (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPNs, VPC Peering).
• Manage Linux and Windows platforms, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and storage (NetApp, backup, DR).
• Implement IaC with Terraform and/or CloudFormation, and automate with Python, Bash and PowerShell.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, monitor infrastructure and support cloud migration and workload modernization.
• Drive infrastructure governance, collaborate with Security, Platform Engineering, DevOps and Software Engineering, and mentor junior engineers.
• Write technical documentation in English and French.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands-on systems and infrastructure experience, 3+ years in production cloud environments (preferably AWS).
• Proven hybrid cloud architecture experience and intermediate Kubernetes production experience.
• English at B2 level or higher (mandatory); French native or professional; Spanish nice to have.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Availability for occasional travel to physical data centers.

Required skills

• AWS core services, networking (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC Peering), EKS and ECS, and advanced Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Linux and Windows administration, VMware, Hyper-V or KVM, and NetApp storage and backup.
• Intermediate Kubernetes (RKE, OpenShift, K3s, etc.), Docker, and container tooling (Helm, Kustomize, Nginx/Traefik ingress).
• Automation scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible), CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk).
• Security awareness (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
