Senior / Lead Salesforce Engineer

About the role

Merkle, a dentsu company, is looking for a Senior / Lead Salesforce Engineer in Barcelona. The role leads the design, customisation and optimisation of the CRM platform, ensuring robust integration, advanced data analytics and scalable solutions aligned with the domain's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex digital and software solutions in the CRM domain
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across the software development lifecycle
• Develop and maintain software architecture documentation
• Participate in project planning and estimation, and drive continuous improvement within the team
• Act as a subject matter expert for pitches and client work, and contribute to the team's vision and strategy

Required profile

• Excellent knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics (backend and frontend); minimum 4 years
• Experience leading and managing project development in Agile or Scrum environments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities and deadlines and guide junior members
• Ability to query databases for customer data extraction and reporting
• Strong programming skills and strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs for CRM integration
• Strong experience analysing customer data with Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Understanding of data segmentation, customer lifecycle and personalisation
• Ability to diagnose CRM-related technical issues

• CI/CD and version control tools (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
• Scripting and automation: APEX, C#.NET
• Data analysis and reporting: Excel, Power BI, Tableau
