Senior QA Automation Engineer (M/W)

About the role

Air Liquide Home Healthcare's Test Automation Factory is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join its Valencia-based team. The role defines, oversees and executes a robust automation strategy for the Digital Delivery Services (DDS) Home Healthcare department, leading the design of scalable frameworks while staying hands-on with script development and defect management. It combines the leadership of a Lead with the detailed execution of an Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Define the QA automation strategy for ERP/CRM platforms and in-house solutions, and design and implement scalable frameworks tailored to them.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for critical enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics 365) and in-house web and mobile applications.
• Coordinate a team of engineers, assign tasks, review deliverables and give technical guidance; act as the local link to the Test Automation Factory Manager.
• Integrate and optimise automated testing tools in GitLab CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS).
• Identify, document and track defects with development teams, and monitor KPIs such as test coverage and automation stability.
• Work with developers, operations teams, business analysts and product owners to find automation opportunities across web, mobile and API applications.

Required profile

• Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, build consensus and mentor junior team members.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and exceptional stakeholder communication in English (required) and Spanish (highly preferred); French is a significant bonus.
• Expected to drive AI-first initiatives, such as AI agents for root cause analysis and automated test case generation, and to champion GitHub Copilot and Gemini.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Playwright (required); Tricentis Tosca preferred.
• Deep understanding of GitLab CI/CD, AWS and containerised execution.
• Advanced scripting in TypeScript, JavaScript or Python.
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM ecosystems (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics 365) and REST API testing.
