Senior Sales Representative - Murcia Region

About the role

Elanco, a global animal health company, is looking for a Senior Sales Representative for the Murcia region in Spain. The role implements the Elanco sales strategy and plan to achieve business goals, managing veterinary clinics, pet shops, large accounts and distributors, and meeting quarterly sales targets. Travel of up to 60-70% within Spain, EMEA and occasionally globally is required.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the supervisor to develop locally appropriate strategy and brand plans
• Monitor, evaluate and act on sales deviations, and develop corrective actions
• Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, distributors, wholesalers and key influencers
• Drive customer value selling programmes at the distributor level and optimise the third-party sales force
• Identify and execute plans to grow market share
• Partner with marketing on market intelligence and feed business results back to marketing and other functions
• Manage CRM compliance, sell-in and sell-out, and deliver customer experience
• Develop a sell-out plan for the territory to achieve monthly objectives

Required profile

• Degree in life sciences or equivalent business experience
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the animal health industry, focused on pet health
• Spanish and English at communicative level
• Comprehensive knowledge of the animal health industry
• Experience working with teams and functions such as R&D, marketing, finance and business development

Preferred qualifications

• Veterinary degree
• Knowledge of sales and marketing capabilities with a customer focus
