Senior/Principal Consultant - Data & Analytics

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is recruiting a Principal Consultant for its technology consulting team in Madrid. The role covers database development, database management, process and data mapping and data analysis, supporting projects of all sizes and requiring a strong track record of delivering data and analytics projects. It also involves selling solutions to clients, explaining and capturing client requirements and facilitating workshops.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a project team of analysts and consultants on a range of tasks
• Develop project execution plans and lead end-to-end delivery with Commission Directors
• Lead client engagements to capture data, analysis and modelling requirements
• Identify and run business and model scenarios, and develop end-to-end data processes and data models
• Design data solutions with clients and their IT teams, build dashboards and visualisations, and support the use of model outputs for decision making
• Test solutions and models against requirements and conduct assurance checks of implemented solutions
• Prepare written project reports and presentation materials for client pitches

Required profile

• Good analytic and numeracy skills, able to understand and present data in different formats
• Degree in an analytic subject (Maths, Geography, Engineering, Economics etc.) or Construction (Civil Engineering) - desirable
• Consulting and business analysis skills (e.g. MoSCoW method)
• Experience in Agile delivery methodology
• Experience in data warehousing and data modelling

Required skills

• Programming in DAX, Python, VBA and SQL
• Data visualisation software such as Power BI and Tableau
• Business intelligence and reporting architecture, dimensions, measures, metadata and schemas
