Site Activation Lead

About the role

ICON Strategic Solutions is hiring a Site Activation Lead for a home-based position in Spain. Working in a sponsor-dedicated model, the role advances clinical trial start-up activities by understanding client objectives and helping develop plans for country and site distribution. The position is open to current ICON employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site start-up and activation activities, supporting the team to deliver quality outcomes.
• Lead clinical trial start-up activities, understand client objectives and help develop plans for country and site distribution.
• Oversee delivery of site activation in assigned projects, keeping to sponsor timelines and meeting ICON/client KPIs, SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Ensure each project has a comprehensive site activation plan and that studies are conducted according to it.
• Lead sponsor initiatives such as kick-off meetings, bid defenses, project updates, status calls and other key communications.
• Use project management skills to optimise performance and collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in life sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical research environment, with a focus on start-up experience.
• Solid site start-up and activation experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop a team.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
