Staff Technical Program Manager

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager in Madrid. This is an individual-contributor leadership role partnering with Staff Engineers and engineering leaders on cross-team, cross-repository initiatives that strengthen Fever's technical foundation. It is not a coordination-only role: you will understand trade-offs, identify risks, manage partners, challenge assumptions and propose solutions when projects become ambiguous or blocked.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of high-impact technical programmes spanning multiple teams, such as platform modernization, CI/CD improvements, reliability upgrades and system migrations.
• Turn technical strategy and architecture decisions into clear milestones and execution cadences, while managing trade-offs, risks, dependencies and day-to-day delivery decisions.
• Drive execution without acting as a pass-through layer, asking the right technical questions and proposing practical solutions to unblock progress.
• Lead the technical execution of M&A integrations, managing system consolidations and tech-stack alignment when bringing acquired companies into the Fever ecosystem.
• Create alignment across Engineering, Product, Security and external partners through lightweight, scalable planning and communication mechanisms.
• Build dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility, engineering accountability and better programme decisions.

Required profile

• Significant and relevant experience in engineering leadership, technical leadership or hands-on technical delivery, with 7+ years preferred in software engineering, platform, infrastructure or complex technical environments.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams, with the judgment to make day-to-day execution decisions and know when to validate or escalate.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and influencing without formal authority, with excellent communication skills with engineers, Staff Engineers, Engineering Managers, partners and executives.
• A background as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Staff Engineer or hands-on engineering leader is highly valued.

Nice to have

• Post-merger technical integration experience, including data or system migrations.
• Experience in live entertainment, ticketing or high-volume e-commerce, especially with high-concurrency systems.
• Experience in distributed, multi-time-zone organisations with exposure to reliability engineering, privacy/data-residency or cost-efficiency initiatives.
