Standardization & Standard Parts Qualification Engineer

About the role

A vacancy for a Standardization and Standard Parts Qualification Engineer has opened at Airbus DS, based in Getafe. The post contributes to the Electrical Standardization activities of the department for ADS programmes, joining the TADAP6 team. It suits open-minded, dynamic people who want to work in a trusting environment with colleagues at other Airbus sites across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Standards Selection Lists and prepare, release and maintain updated technical standards, validating and managing the external standards needed for the design and production of ADS programmes in electrical standard parts.
• Support the qualification of electrical standard parts and manage the associated documentation (qualification test plans, test reports, qualified product list).
• Support supplier selection and supplier qualification, and back up internal and external audits.
• Support Design, Procurement, Manufacturing and Services on standardization across the aircraft life cycle: new standard parts, standards queries, reception discrepancy resolutions, non-conformance assessments, in-service issues and obsolescence.
• Contribute to digitizing standards and related processes (standard parts, material tables, surface protections).
• Take part in project standardization working groups and multifunctional teams, with some business trips expected.

Required profile

• Degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering.
• Advanced English and Spanish.
• Experience in electrical design or manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to work in international teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Background in Agile ways of working.
