Structural Design Engineer – Composite & Hybrid Structures

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a senior Structural Design Engineer to join its Aerostructures Design team. You will work on cutting‑edge composite and hybrid structures for military and civil aircraft, using the 3DExperience platform and Agile development methods.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate composite/hybrid components and assemblies, optimizing weight, cost and performance while ensuring safety.
• Create structural definitions, architecture and manufacturing documentation for airframe components such as empennages and horizontal tail planes.
• Plan, track and deliver structural design deliverables, specifications for purchasing and support concurrent engineering with manufacturing, analysis and test teams.
• Interact with external customers, partners and suppliers during design reviews, test reporting and project follow‑up meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial Mechanics.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in aircraft structural design.
• Proven experience with composite structures and certification processes.
