Team Lead Engineering - Content Search and Knowledge Management

About the role

Roche is looking for a Team Lead Engineering for Content Search and Knowledge Management in Madrid. The role focuses on developing the capabilities of engineering team members in line with the function's vision, while supporting software and service delivery as a leader who sets focus, removes impediments and manages stakeholders. The area covers platforms that drive enterprise-wide adoption of enterprise search, including scalable, reliable solutions, self-service features and reusable building blocks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop team capabilities and career paths, remove roadblocks and set clear performance goals
• Maintain a sustainable pace of work, healthy team dynamics and psychological safety
• Co-create the product/service roadmap from a technical perspective and own the team's end-to-end delivery
• Move the operations setup toward a more mature Managed Services model
• Manage stakeholder expectations, escalate impediments and create efficiencies across teams
• Define success metrics, analyze capability trends and communicate delivery performance
• Support business cases, allocate engineering resources and manage the team's budget, headcount, operational costs and vendor contracts

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business or IT
• 5+ years of experience in people leadership, product/service management, program management or a similar role, with a track record of building high-performing teams
• 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated healthcare technology industry
• Servant and creative leadership (VACC) style, executive presence and risk management
