Tendering Specialist

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. is looking for a Tendering Specialist in Madrid. The role covers preparing and managing tenders, bids, estimates and quotations, defining technical and commercial solutions, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver profitable, compliant offers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tenders, bids, estimates and quotations in line with customer requirements and internal targets.
• Define optimal technical and commercial solutions, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness and profitability.
• Develop and manage the full cost model, including pricing, cash flow and tender budget.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional tender teams and run the Risk Review process according to Hitachi Energy governance.
• Support and, when required, lead technical and commercial negotiations with customers.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, insurance and supply chain to ensure compliant offers.
• Evaluate suppliers and subcontractors with Supply Chain, and ensure documentation, reporting and handover of won orders to execution teams.
• Maintain customer relationships throughout the tendering and sales process and comply with external and internal regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years in tendering, sales or commercial roles in project-based environments (power grids, offshore, EPC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of commercial terms and conditions and risk management.
• Solid understanding of electric power systems.
• Experience in complex projects and cost-driven decision-making.
• Fluent Spanish and strong professional English; French is an advantage.
