Tools & GSE Maintenance Manager – Matacán Air Base

About the role

An opportunity exists for a Tools & Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Manager to join the MRO Network Team at Airbus Defence and Space, Matacán Air Base, Salamanca. The role supports the C295 MTA fleet by managing tooling, means, and GSE to ensure availability, calibration and operational readiness for each maintenance event.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse tooling and means requirements before each maintenance event, launch requests and guarantee full availability.
• Manage internal tools and GSE/AGE, ensuring proper calibration, inventory tracking and shipment controls.
• Anticipate and resolve shortages of critical tools or equipment to minimise maintenance delays.
• Update daily and master planning reports with essential event information for weekly progress meetings.
• Monitor and report KPIs to track operational efficiency and service levels, providing initial engineering support and production control.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 4‑5 years of experience in MRO, engineering, production control or tooling management.
• Advanced Spanish (written & spoken); English fluency is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training or meetings.
• Experience with military platform support or C295 operations is valuable.
