About the role
Join Airbus' XPLORER 2027 program in Getafe, Spain, as a curricular practicum student. You will develop an active control system for a stabilization device used in air‑to‑air refuelling operations, completing your final year project while gaining hands‑on aerospace experience.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement control logic for an actuation system that stabilizes the refuelling docking device in flight.
- Perform trade‑off analyses of different control strategies using simulations and a real prototype.
- Collaborate with a tutor and multidisciplinary team to validate performance against requirements.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a final‑year Engineering degree.
- English proficiency minimum B2 (C1 desirable).
- Spanish proficiency minimum B1.
- General engineering knowledge and analytical mindset.
Required skills
- Control‑systems expertise and programming tools such as Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
What we offer
- Six‑month part‑time internship (5 hours per day, 25 hours per week) from February to July 2027.
- Opportunity to integrate your Bachelor’s final project (TFG) with a real Airbus development task.
- Continuous monitoring by an assigned tutor and exposure to an international aerospace environment.
