Junior Legal Officer

About the role

The Junior Legal Officer will support the Legal Department of the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) by providing legal advice, drafting documents, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Reporting to the Head of the Legal Department, the role requires a proactive, rigorous approach and the ability to work closely with a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on contracts and agreements with external institutions.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise on public procurement and data‑protection matters.
• Draft legal action documents, pleadings, and other formal legal texts.
• Execute legal procedures with official bodies and manage the institute’s insurance policies.
• Perform administrative tasks required by the department’s size.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar legal position.
• Degree in Law; additional training in public procurement or data protection is a plus.
• Fluent in English, Catalan and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Proactive, rigorous, customer‑oriented and able to maintain high confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced user of MS Office.
