Student Success Specialist

About the role

The Student Success Specialist will plan, coordinate, and develop mentor programs for students and families, aiming to boost academic and social achievement. This role serves as the primary liaison between Tucson Unified School District and the local business community for mentoring initiatives, beginning in the 2026‑2027 school year.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement student/family mentor programs across the district.
• Disseminate program information to schools, families, and community partners.
• Act as the liaison between TUSD and the business community to support mentoring efforts.
• Maintain program records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Provide guidance and oversight to mentors and participating families.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Services, Counseling, or a related field (or equivalent combination of associate degree, 60 semester‑hour credits, or AZ Dept. of Education‑approved assessment).
• Six (6) years of progressive experience providing direct services and program oversight for school‑age children.
• Proof of immunity to measles and rubella or MMR vaccination.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance meeting state minimum requirements.
• Reliable personal transportation throughout employment.
