Customization Engineer

About the role

Iveco Group is looking for a Customization Engineer to join the Customization and Specialties team at its R&D centre in Madrid. You will act as the bridge between customers and engineering, turning market‑specific requests into viable technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop bespoke solutions for special customers from concept through to production.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, 3D models and detailed drawings.
• Manage technical agreement authorisations and support tender documentation.
• Handle technical agreements for major customers and prepare documentation for minor customisation projects.
• Plan projects and tests in line with the Design Validation Plan (DVP).

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Product Development Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of product development methodology, BOM management, simulation and testing.
• Familiarity with heavy commercial‑vehicle applications and European regulations.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2); Italian is a plus.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
