Data Analytics & Automation Intern

About the role

HP is looking for a motivated and analytical Data and Automation Intern to join its EMEA Customer Support Supply Chain team in Barcelona. You will support the team in improving business performance visibility through data analytics, dashboard development and process automation, turning operational and financial data into actionable insights. The internship runs from February to June-July 2027, is paid, and can be part-time (4 hours/day) or full-time (8 hours/day); the length is 4 to 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate and analyse operational and financial data to monitor performance and spot trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting views to track KPIs and sub-KPIs.
• Identify repetitive manual tasks and support the development of automation solutions.
• Improve reporting processes, data quality and visualization tools based on stakeholder feedback.
• Work with colleagues across functions to turn their requirements into practical analytics and digitalization solutions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Spanish university in Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field, remaining enrolled until the end of the internship.
• Eligible to sign an internship agreement with the university and able to start in February 2027.
• Good command of English and strong communication skills.
• Preferred: previous experience in data analytics, reporting or process automation projects.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data management.
• Preferred: Power BI, Power Query, DAX, data modelling, SQL, Python, VBA or Microsoft Power Automate.
