Data Quality Systems Intern

About the role

HP's Take Back organization collects, recovers and recycles products at the end of their life, and reliable product data is essential for regulatory reporting and operational decisions. It is looking for a motivated student to improve the quality, completeness and consistency of product information across its databases. The internship runs from February to June-July 2027, is paid, and can be part-time (4 hours/day) or full-time (8 hours/day); the legal entity is Sales & Services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop data science and IT tools to extract information from product data documents and connect it with the databases.
• Use data analysis to validate master data, monitor quality, identify gaps and request updates from stakeholders.
• Build automated controls with Python, SQL and AI to check document accuracy, completeness and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, remaining enrolled until the end of the internship.
• Eligible to sign an internship agreement with the university and available to start in February 2027.
• Analytical, curious, structured, organized and team-oriented.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Agentic AI, SQL and Python.
