Process Mining & Process Improvement Internship

About the role

The WW Field Process Team at HP helps improve the visibility, consistency and performance of the end-to-end business processes performed by its Field Technicians. As a Process Mining and Process Improvement intern, you will work with global stakeholders to apply Process Mining techniques, investigate process behaviour and turn insights into practical solutions and continuous-improvement actions. The internship runs from February to June-July 2027, is paid, and can be part-time (4 hours/day) or full-time (8 hours/day); the length is 4 to 12 months.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in a university in Spain, stay enrolled until the end of the internship, be able to sign an internship agreement with your university, and be available from February 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Use Process Mining tools and event-log data to map and analyse end-to-end process flows.
• Identify process deviations, bottlenecks, rework, control gaps and opportunities for standardisation or automation.
• Perform root-cause analysis and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Build and maintain Process Mining analyses, dashboards, KPIs and alerts for proactive monitoring.
• Work with process owners and cross-functional teams to validate insights, prioritise improvements and track results.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and effective communication with global, cross-functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Foundational understanding of Process Mining concepts (event logs, process discovery, conformance checking, root-cause analysis).
• Experience with Celonis, Signavio or a comparable platform is a strong advantage.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and visualisation tools; familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI or similar is desirable.
