Electrical Installation Designer - Aircraft Systems

About the role

Aerodrive is seeking an Electrical Installation Designer to join the Electrical System Installation Design Engineering team at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The role contributes to defining and integrating the aircraft electrical system, focusing on turning electrical requirements into solutions that can be physically installed in the aircraft, including equipment location, harnesses and installation constraints. It involves close collaboration with engineering teams and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical harnesses and equipment installations, from architecture and detailed design through manufacturing support and in-service activities.
• Translate electrical requirements into physically feasible and integrable installation solutions.
• Define the location, routing and integration of electrical elements and equipment, respecting aircraft installation constraints and design principles.
• Develop electrical installation designs in CATIA, following regulations, processes, methods, tools and procedures.
• Work with electrical definition teams and other engineering departments to keep electrical requirements consistent with their physical implementation.
• Interface with technical stakeholders and adapt installation solutions to changes during design, manufacturing and in-service phases.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience; previous experience in electrical installation design and aircraft systems integration is highly valued.
• Professional Spanish and approximately B2 English.
• Nice to have: experience in electrical system installation design within the aeronautical sector and in complex aircraft integration environments.

Required skills

• CATIA, especially for installation design and integration.
• Ability to work in a networked way with different departments and stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
