Flight Test Instrumentation Systems Engineer (Military Derivatives)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Flight Test Instrumentation Systems Engineer to join its Engineering Department in Getafe, Spain. The role supports the design, development, operation and maintenance of flight test instrumentation (FTM) systems for military‑derived aircraft programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and validate flight test requirements, defining verification and validation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Support design and production teams during integration of flight test means into aircraft.
• Coordinate with customers, airworthiness authorities and external partners to gather evidence and issue validation statements.
• Operate airborne and ground flight test equipment, perform functional checks and support active test campaigns.
• Process, securely store and deliver flight test data according to security classifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial, Systems or related engineering discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in systems engineering or flight test operations.
• Fluent Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Systems Engineering methodology.
• Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
