Food Service Cook (Contingency) - USAF DFAC

About the role

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey, providing program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare and recreation support. As a USAF Cook, you prepare and produce meals in a United States Air Force Dining Facility (DFAC), ensuring high standards of quality, taste and presentation. You also give guidance and training during meal preparation and service.

Key responsibilities

• Complete delegation of tasks at the start of each shift
• Prepare meals progressively according to the daily production log, checking food temperatures regularly
• Record food production and discarded food on the daily production log and notify the supervisor of discarded items
• Prepare short order items when required, always checking food temperatures
• Follow all safety, hygiene and sanitation standards
• Wear a clean uniform and the required personal protective equipment
• Work shifts

Required profile

• Food Handler's Certificate
• High school diploma
• At least two years' experience in a restaurant or food production setting
• English level 1; English level II preferred

Preferred qualifications

• Computer skills
• Experience preparing meals in a military environment
• Experience working in groups and teams
