Food Service Supervisor (Contingency)

About the role

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey, providing program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare and recreation support under a five-year contract. The USAF Dining Facility (DFAC) Food Service Supervisor works closely with the Dining Facility Manager to make sure the food service operation follows all guidelines. As a working lead, the supervisor oversees daily food service during assigned shifts, coordinating with management on staffing needs and issues, and helping staff with menu preparation, cooking and serving when required.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the facility and its operations so that everything runs smoothly
• Before meals start, make sure cashiers know all menu options and prices
• Assist Public Health inspectors during monthly inspections and record equipment and food temperatures every four hours
• Follow all safety, hygiene and sanitation standards and complete required training
• Wear a clean uniform and the necessary personal protective equipment
• Take shifts and cover as a cashier when needed
• Take on all management responsibilities when the Dining Facility Manager is absent

Required profile

• Food Handler's Certificate
• High school diploma
• At least two years' experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• English level III reading, writing and speaking comprehension
• Preferred: bachelor's degree in business management, computer skills, customer service experience in a military environment, and experience supervising groups
