Head of Accounts Receivable & AI Transformation

About the role

Inspired Education, a global group of premium private schools with 125 schools across 6 continents, is hiring a Head of Accounts Receivable and AI Transformation for its Madrid head office. Reporting to the Finance Director, Spain, the role leads the Billing and Collections function while driving innovation, automation and AI adoption. It oversees a team of 10 professionals (2 direct reports and 8 indirect reports) and focuses on modernising processes, improving reporting and dashboards, and using AI to boost efficiency, decision-making and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Billing and Collections function across Inspired Education Spain.
• Manage, coach and develop a team of 10 professionals through 2 direct managers.
• Oversee end-to-end billing and collections processes, monitoring KPIs, service levels, cash collection performance and operational effectiveness.
• Design, develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools and performance metrics.
• Streamline and automate manual processes and lead the adoption of AI-driven solutions.
• Explore emerging technologies to improve productivity, reporting, forecasting and decision-making.
• Partner with Finance, Admissions and School Leadership teams, drive continuous improvement and support change management.
• Produce reporting and recommendations for senior leadership and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading billing, collections or accounts receivable.
• Previous management experience developing and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of billing, collections, customer accounts and revenue operations.
• Interest in technology, automation and AI applied to real business challenges.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs and business intelligence solutions.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.
• Very high English proficiency.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with large datasets.
• Experience with ERP and finance systems.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled tools, automation platforms, Power BI or similar business intelligence solutions is highly advantageous.
