Senior Auditor - Property & Casualty Actuarial (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re is recruiting a Senior Auditor for its Group Internal Audit team in Madrid, specialising in Property & Casualty actuarial topics. The role sits at the heart of the risk assurance function, leading audits across the (re)insurance value chain with a focus on reserving, pricing and risk management. It is a hybrid position with the expectation of being in the office at least three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a portfolio of audits across the Property & Casualty (re)insurance value chain, owning engagements end-to-end
• Evaluate the effectiveness of governance, controls and risk management practices across actuarial topics, including reserving and pricing
• Identify and assess key and emerging risks within the P&C actuarial domain
• Engage and challenge senior stakeholders to support risk management and sound decision-making
• Coach and support team members and contribute to a strong, forward-looking risk culture

Required profile

• Nearly qualified or fully qualified Property & Casualty actuary
• 7+ years of experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and the confidence to challenge established practices

Required skills

• Strong experience in P&C reserving and/or pricing methodologies
• Solid understanding of emerging risks and trends in the P&C (re)insurance industry
• Solid understanding of IFRS 17 and/or US GAAP governance, processes and controls
• Nice to have: internal audit or risk management experience, knowledge of (re)insurance regulatory frameworks, data analytics tools, project management and leading small teams

What we offer

• Base salary range of 56,000 to 94,000 EUR for a full-time role in Spain, depending on profile and role scope
