Host/Hostess - Four Seasons Hotel Madrid

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a host/hostess to join its team. The hotel is a historic landmark in the heart of Madrid, combining seven historic buildings with modern luxury, rooftop dining, a cocktail bar and restaurant, and a wellness centre. The role is full-time and may run on a rotating shift basis, covering morning and evening shifts throughout the week, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the host/hostess stand and review the reservation book.
• Make recommendations on the restaurant's set-up and welcome guests at the restaurant.
• Take and handle reservations, check and reply to emails, and handle the restaurant menus.
• Communicate with colleagues and managers about guests' needs and requests.
• Handle the restaurant floor plan and inspect the cleanliness of the dining room and private dining rooms, making improvements where needed.
• Check each table before opening to ensure it is properly set.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a host/hostess in a prestigious hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations.
• Friendly, outgoing and flexible personality with a passion for high-quality service.
• Legal right to work in Spain.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
