IMC Manager – Ramp Up at Getafe Plant

About the role

The IMC Manager will lead the Industrial Maturity Center (IMC) at Airbus' Getafe plant, focusing on technology maturation and the safe, ergonomic, and sustainable ramp‑up of new aerospace programmes. This position bridges prototype development and full‑scale production, ensuring that new technologies are ready for entry into service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technology maturation from TRL 6 to MRL 7.
• Provide training on new technologies before entry into service.
• Drive innovation and idea generation for the plant.
• Oversee IMC governance, including MFT meetings and approval panels.
• Manage IMC modules such as showrooms, collaborative spaces, and the robotics lab.
• Collaborate with sponsors and the IMC team to ensure project success.
• Contribute to the industrial means strategy for upcoming programme launches.
• Ensure compliance with cost‑reduction and delivery‑time objectives.
• Foster growth of the industrial means community and its competencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial project management and technological development.
• Strong knowledge of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Strategic vision to anticipate future technological needs.
• Experience in supply chain management and supplier partnerships.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
