Internal Auditor

About the role

Kronospan, a manufacturer of wood-based panels and value-added products founded in 1897, is opening its third production plant in Spain in Tortosa, with an initial investment of 270 million euros and more than 180 direct jobs. Its internal audit team is looking for a young, vibrant auditor to join.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out internal audits of internal control processes and help improve them.
• Assess compliance so that procedures are robust and operations are effective.
• Evaluate management procedures against corporate policies and government regulations.
• Create ad hoc benchmarks, guidelines and policies.
• Train teams and share knowledge.
• Discuss audit findings with lead auditors and senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics or a related field.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a bonus.
• Mandatory travel (50% of working time or more).
• Driving licence and an active driver.
• Experience in internal audit, financial controlling and accounting is a plus; young candidates are welcome.
