Investment Operations Staff

About the role

ServiZurich, part of Zurich Insurance Group and based in Barcelona since 2006, provides technological solutions and support to Zurich's local and global business units, including investment, administration and accounting. As Investment Operations Staff you will process, post and clear transactions, payments and corporate actions and oversee control activities so that positions are managed correctly, completely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Process, post and clear securities transactions and income payments daily, and generate insights and recommendations by answering technical queries from Local Operations teams and delivering standard solutions.
• Support the Local Operations team with timely month-end closing.
• Carry out periodic reconciliation of securities holdings and cash account holdings.
• Help troubleshoot standard operational issues, following the Group Incident Management Policy.
• Support the definition of key performance targets and KPIs to optimise business performance, especially around automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or 2+ years of experience in a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 1-2 years of practical experience in Investment Operations, Banking or Insurance.
• Ability to manage relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners, asset managers and custodians.
• Independent, proactive and committed to corporate values, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Interest in investments and new technology solutions; previous experience with AI tools is valued.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of common asset classes, risks and markets in traditional and non-traditional financial instruments.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in collaborative projects or automation initiatives; curiosity about languages and cross-cultural integration.
