IT Operation Specialist – Advanced Linux Support

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an IT Operation Specialist focused on advanced Linux support within its Digital Campus in Albacete, Spain. You will join the Industrial Workplace Linux team and be responsible for the full lifecycle of Linux computers, servers and applications across the corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the request‑to‑decommission lifecycle of Linux assets.
• Prepare, install and support Linux computers, servers and applications.
• Maintain Foreman MDM, including masters, environments, Puppet modules, Ansible playbooks and upgrades.
• Continuously improve performance through data‑driven analysis.
• Support product managers with performance monitoring and documentation.
• Resolve complex incidents involving hardware, network, drivers, kernel or applications.
• Monitor emerging Linux technologies and propose adoption.

Required profile

• Experience working in a large enterprise environment with partners and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration (Debian, Red Hat, CentOS).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Ruby.
• Familiarity with MDM tools like Foreman, Katello, Puppet and Ansible.
