IT Operation Specialist – Intermediate Linux Support

About the role

Join the Digital Campus at Airbus Helicopters as an IT Operation Specialist focused on intermediate Linux support. You will work within the Industrial workplace Linux team, providing end‑to‑end management of Linux computers, servers and applications while integrating with the broader corporate IT landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Linux assets from request to decommission.
• Set up, install and support Linux computers, servers and applications.
• Ensure delivery follows defined processes and propose performance improvements.
• Support product managers by monitoring system performance.
• Create and maintain documentation for the team.
• Troubleshoot incidents and requests covering hardware, network, drivers, kernel and applications.

Required profile

• Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
• Collaboration with partners and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration (Debian, Red Hat, CentOS).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby).
• Familiarity with MDM tools such as Foreman, Katello, Puppet and Ansible.
• Understanding of networking, Active Directory, LDAP, NIS, PKI, virtualization, version control and encryption tools.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
