Jig & Tools Quality Conformance Manager

About the role

Aircraft Jigs and Tools Quality Manager position at Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid). The role ensures the highest quality standards in the manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft jigs and tools, and is open to tooling managers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the Tooling Verification Process (TVP) of the jigs and tools belonging to S19 of the Getafe plant, defining the means, inspection type and sequence required.
• Ensure periodic maintenance revisions are carried out before expiry and recorded in the IT tool, and certify them against the TVP.
• Decide on the disposition of any deviations and raise discrepancy reports, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Accept new tooling according to Airbus standards, keeping document traceability and updating the tooling register in the IT tool.
• Support audits (internal, external and Airworthiness Authorities) and all jigs and tools issues, and lead continuous improvement projects linked to AOS deployment.
• Control the jigs and tools storehouse and review and validate design modifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management within the aviation industry, focused on aircraft jigs and tools.
• Extensive experience in the initial certification and periodic recertification of aerospace jigs.
• Deep understanding of the Getafe plant's assembly and tooling requirements.

Required skills

• Laser tracker technology and 3D measuring machines.
• Proficiency in metrology.
