Kitchen Intern - Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor (Season 2027)

About the role

The Kitchen Intern supports the culinary team in preparing, producing and presenting high-quality dishes while gaining hands-on experience in a professional luxury kitchen. Working under the guidance of the culinary team, the intern develops cooking techniques, learns food safety and hygiene standards and understands daily kitchen operations. The internship suits culinary students building practical skills in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, cutting, weighing and portioning ingredients.
• Help prepare mise en place and support the plating and presentation of dishes.
• Rotate through different kitchen sections to understand culinary operations.
• Learn cooking techniques, preparation methods and presentation standards under experienced chefs.
• Label, date, store and handle food products correctly, and support the receiving, organisation and storage of ingredients.
• Maintain clean and organised workstations and follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with the culinary team during preparation and service.

Required profile

• Currently studying Culinary Arts, Gastronomy or a related field, with the possibility of an internship agreement with the educational institution.
• Fluency in spoken English or Spanish.
• Legal right to work in Spain.
• Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, attention to quality and adaptability to different kitchen sections, shifts and service requirements.
