Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel provides legal support and guidance to ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, advising on regulatory matters, and representing the company in legal proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor, service, partnership agreements and NDAs.
• Review gaming service and licensing agreements, reporting significant findings or risks to the Head of Legal & Compliance.
• Negotiate contracts with game providers, B2B platforms and B2C operators to secure favourable terms and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, offering proactive advice on contracts, compliance and corporate governance.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, employment, iGaming regulations and intellectual property laws across all jurisdictions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with iGaming legal developments and integrate changes into company procedures.
• Serve as the primary legal contact for internal departments, providing guidance on a variety of matters.
• Manage disputes and litigation, either directly or by coordinating external counsel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent and licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate or contract law, preferably within an in‑house legal team or law firm.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, intellectual property law and corporate governance.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management and written/verbal communication skills.
