Master Data Product Owner

About the role

Within Digital Service Solutions / Data Innovation, Roche directs a large flow of service and product data and knowledge end to end, supporting process digitalization and commercial intelligence. The Product Information Management (PIM) platform distributes high-fidelity Roche Diagnostics product data to many commercial use cases, and GenAI is strategically important for enriching and delivering data. As Master Data Product Owner, you will lead data chains and tools in Product Master Data Management (MDM) and PIM within an agile team, working closely with stakeholders across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the information architecture and product data model with IT and business experts, ensuring simplicity and end-to-end interoperability
• Take data compliance into account, design platform-specific governance aligned with overarching standards, and guide the Data Operations team
• Specify business requirements, propose improvements to customer satisfaction and articulate the value of new data products
• Drive new data product initiatives and continuous improvement from conception to implementation, within time, budget and quality targets
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog and support Business Process Owners in rollouts
• Provide data-driven insights into product success and collaborate with IT and business teams on data and tool support workflows and SLAs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in relevant roles, preferably in data-driven environments or product information management, with a strong affinity for data modeling and analysis
• Ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders at all seniority levels
• Collaboration skills, knowledge of agile methodologies and motivation to grow in a dynamic environment

Required skills

• Touchpoints with Product Data Management (PDM), CPQ, PIM, CCMS, omnichannel and Data Mesh
• Familiarity with AI technologies for data enrichment and delivery (IDP, LLM, vector storage, knowledge graphs, LangChain)
