Production Scheduler – Airbus Defence & Space (Temp)

About the role

We are looking for a Production Scheduler to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, supporting the assembly line by creating and maintaining short‑ and mid‑term production schedules. The role ensures alignment with the Master Production Plan and helps deliver on‑time, on‑cost results in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain short‑ and mid‑term production schedules for assembly and associated materials, considering milestones, capacity and constraints.
• Provide clear communication on schedule status, risks and recovery plans; prepare KPI dashboards, workload balance reports and WIP analysis.
• Ensure availability of resources (components, work orders, industrial means) and support material planning, including critical‑path analysis.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain and procurement teams and act as the main interface between production, high‑level planning and supply chain.
• Contribute to optimisation of IT scheduling tools and support process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in an international, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Experience with planning tools and ERP systems such as SAP (or equivalent).
