Senior Business Architect

About the role

Roche is looking for a Senior Business Architect in Sant Cugat del Vallès to define and maintain the architectural vision and strategy for the Roche organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and supporting the adoption and implementation of Roche's Reference Architecture. As the authority and guardian of the Reference Architecture, you will create reusable, scalable solutions, promote best practices and help integrate applications and systems across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Guard the Architecture roadmap and Reference Architecture for the Roche Ecosystem.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, sales, medical teams, customer area leads and lifecycle leads to recommend scalable, reliable solutions.
• Guide the technical solution process to integrate applications and systems using the standard components of the Reference Architecture.
• Support development, solution architects and business teams in delivering strategic outcomes and robust service delivery.
• Define reusable architectural components aligned with industry regulations, best practices and Roche standards.
• Analyze non-functional requirements such as security, scalability and performance, and develop architecture blueprints and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain architectural guidelines, lead the adoption of the Reference Architecture across project teams, and identify and close technical gaps.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and drive strategy initiatives for digital transformation, scalability and innovation.

Required profile

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in business architecture or related roles, with a strong focus on reference architecture and shared platform strategies.
• Strong understanding of business architecture principles and platform strategies.
• Preferred: MS in a related field, experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7, familiarity with TOGAF or SAFe, and significant experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
