About the role

Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS), part of Roche's Computational Science & Informatics (CSI) division, is hiring a Senior Fullstack Developer in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain. The role takes ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from feasibility studies and architectural design to implementation and testing, building robust, high-performance applications for precision medicine diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Drive all phases of the software development lifecycle, including feasibility studies, architectural design, development, testing, bug fixing and continuous maintenance.
• Translate software requirements and project architecture into clear unit and subsystem specifications.
• Design and implement high-quality, robust code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Work in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) to define, estimate, plan and execute development work packages.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and collaborate on peer reviews to improve performance, design and usability.
• Use modern AI-supporting tools throughout the lifecycle to streamline coding, testing and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Extensive professional software development experience (typically 7+ years).
• University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-organizing engineer who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments and enjoys sharing knowledge.

Required skills

• Advanced C#, WPF and .NET 8.0.
• SQL Server, including database design and ORMs such as Entity Framework.
• Version control (Git/GitHub) and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience using AI-supporting tools for coding, testing and debugging, and basic experience defining build environments.
