Support & Training Senior Specialist (IT / Application)

About the role

Roche Diagnostics Solution is looking for a Support & Training Senior Specialist in its Global Customer Support team, based in Sant Cugat del Vallès. The role provides ongoing technical support for automation systems (px12/71, CCM, BLIM) and analytical platforms such as the cobas 6000, 8000 analyzer series, cobas pro integrated solution and cobas mobile solution. It works with teams in Mannheim, Penzberg and Sant Cugat, and involves training, project support and IT solution integration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to application and customer support specialists, and act as the contact for analyzer operation and lab issues, including onsite support to customer labs globally.
• Develop and implement blended learning courses, including e-learning content.
• Solve complex software and application problems so analyzer products run effectively in customer labs.
• Integrate solutions across IT infrastructures and manage global implementations.
• Collaborate with internal and external manufacturers on projects.
• Travel frequently (up to 30%) for onsite support and training, sometimes for extended stays.

Required profile

• University or college education focused on science, technology or IT (medical technology, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics).
• Minimum 3 years as a product specialist or in lab experience within diagnostics and workflow.
• Minimum 1 year supporting workflow instruments such as p512/612/57 or serum analyzers like the cobas 6000, 8000 series or cobas pro; other instruments are a benefit.
• Extensive experience with lab networks and IT infrastructure, such as navify Lab operations (nLO) and other middlewares and host systems.
• Experience delivering training to customers, application specialists and support specialists, with fluent English and experience with training methodologies; digital learning is a bonus.
• Service-oriented, comfortable in global matrix structures, with business-fluent English and intercultural skills.
• Experience with local system launches and openness to frequent, extended travel (about 30%).
