Lead Accountant, France & Accounting Integration

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Lead Accountant in Madrid to cover its French ticketing entity and accounting integration. The role leads the accounting of the French entity, including the monthly, quarterly and annual close, and works closely with the CFO of the French ticketing entity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Group reporting package on time, prepare statutory accounts under French GAAP and reconcile them with Group IFRS reporting.
• Act as main contact for statutory auditors (CAC) and Group auditors, preparing audit files and answering requests.
• Coordinate with external advisors on tax and compliance, reviewing their outputs.
• Support management reporting and ensure consistency between the ledger and management accounts.
• Execute acquisition analysis, map acquired entities' charts of accounts to Group standards, validate data migrations and coordinate Day-1 readiness and the first unified close.
• Build and maintain the integration playbook and strengthen internal controls.
• Book-keep monthly transactions, review expense coding, reconcile revenues with payment processors, approve large transactions, contribute to audits and manage external accounting service providers.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; DSCG / DEC (or equivalent) is valuable.
• 5-7 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a Big Four firm (audit or transaction services).
• Hands-on experience with French statutory closings and audits, and experience in M&A transactions, due diligence or post-merger integrations.
• Native or bilingual French and professional English; Spanish is a plus.
• Experience leading or coordinating a team and working with external advisors and auditors.
• Background in ticketing, marketplaces or payments on behalf of third parties is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong command of French GAAP and IFRS, including business combinations and purchase price allocation.
• Chart of accounts mapping and group reporting.
• Advanced Excel; ERP migration experience; Business Central / Navision is a plus.
• Working knowledge of French tax (VAT, corporate income tax, CFE/CVAE, liasse fiscale).
• Budget vs. actual analysis, management reporting and cash flow forecasting.
